Reem Gamal Abdelnasser
Reem Gamal Abdelnasser is an Egyptian visual artist whose multidisciplinary practice
investigates memory, place, and the relationship between personal narratives and
collective history. Born and raised in Cairo, she studied fine arts, where she
developed a strong conceptual and technical foundation that continues to shape her
work. Through painting and mixed media, she creates layered compositions that
combine abstraction and representation, often incorporating symbolic imagery and
textured surfaces. Her work is informed by an interest in social history, cultural
identity, and the subtle traces left by lived experience. By transforming familiar forms
into poetic visual statements, she invites viewers to reflect on the ways in which
memory shapes both individual and shared perceptions of the world.
