This site-specific installation is a dance between the past and the present, blurring the lines between traditional and modern, renewing our perceptions of art, heritage, science, and sustainable practices.

Translucent Pyramid uses wicker weaving, an ancient craft from Egypt, to pay homage to the history of the pyramids while offering a contemporary interpretation of their impact on our region’s development processes. Emphasizing the value of preserving traditional methods while embracing innovation and creativity, the installation aims to advocate sustainable practices that have been used for centuries.

By showcasing the beauty and artistry of traditional materials and techniques, AlShashai encourages viewers to think about the potential of sustainable practices in contemporary art and design.
