ABOUT THE ARTIST
Yara Hatem Hamed Shafie is a teaching assistant at the faculty of Fine Arts-Cairo-Egypt. Born 2.22.1991, Cairo.
Graduated with grade of honor in 2013 and MA holder from the faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University, Department of mural paintings 2019. member of the Syndicate of Fine Arts.Participated in group & solo exhibitions. “Youth Salon” the 22nd (2011) and 27th (2016) and 34th (2023).“The foloka” exhibition, held by Abd Wahab el Mohsen Foundation for art, culture and Development 2015,2019.

DESCRIPTION
(My Blue Garden), An artistic project that increases the hypothesis of blending the feminine beauty and the holy spirit of the Islamic art. This is represented clearly throughout using the impact of Iznik pottery tiles and although the geometric and plant motifs. In this garden, the blue color turns to be a symbol of spiritual purity, where the female body’s blend to be part of the Islamic patterns. In the artist’s opinion, This could express the state of deep equilibrium between human and nature. Eventually, the project invites it’s audience not only to contemplate beauty as a philosophical state that transcends borders but also to combine between heritage and modernity and on the other hand between inner peace and the depth of human experience
