Alyâa Kamel is a Swiss artist of Egyptian origin, born in 1975. She studied at Central Saint Martins in London and the School of Theatre Scenery in Geneva. Working across painting, drawing, illustration, writing, video, and podcasting, her practice explores creativity, emotion, and reflection. In 2005, she published La maison de l’Orient, a collection of poetry and paintings, alongside articles and illustrations created for magazines, brands, and institutions. In 2013, she created Little Alyaa, a humorous character that became a daily social media presence. In 2021, she launched Parler pour Parler, expanding her practice into vocal expression and podcasting.
