Brief info

Jiang Qiong Er is an internationally acclaimed artist whose practice spans painting, sculpture, installation, video, and public art. Rooted in Chinese philosophy while shaped by decades of living in Europe, she has developed a contemporary artistic language that bridges civilizations, disciplines, and cultures. Working with materials ranging from bronze and mineral pigments to AI-generated writing systems and immersive installations, she explores memory, time, and the shared spiritual heritage of humanity.

At the heart of her practice is the concept of Universal Art—a vision that seeks to reconnect humanity with history, nature, and one another through a universal visual language. In 2009, she co-founded Shang Xia with Hermès, bringing contemporary Chinese craftsmanship to the international stage. Her works are held in major museum collections worldwide, including the British Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Musée Guimet, and UNESCO.
