BIOGRAPHY

Ana Ferrari is a Brazilian artist whose work is grounded in innovative research on animism, crystalline systems, and cymatics, exploring the universal interconnection and frequencies that permeate nature. With a structural foundation that harmonizes art, science, and spirituality, she transcends the material, delving into human consciousness, magnetic fields, and the vibrations that unite all beings. Her singular sensitivity enables her to build bridges between the tangible and the intangible, weaving myths, natural processes, and symbols into sensory experiences.
A multidisciplinary artist, Ana engages with sculptures, artistic installations, jewellery, and other expressions, distinguished by her use of metals such as gold, silver, brass, aluminium and steel, alongside glass, stones, and wood—materials that reflect the intrinsic energy and beauty of nature in resonance with her research. Rooted in animism, which recognizes the vital energy in all beings; crystalline systems that symbolize universal order; and cymatics that reveal sound patterns, her artistic practice flourishes through collaborations with institutions like Galeria Nara Roesler, the A CASA museum, and SFERIK Museum, where she was Creative Director and Cultural Curator for two years. She has also been present at parallel exhibitions at the Venice Biennale, Art Basel, and Milan Design Week. Her journey across five continents, investigating cultural origins and worldviews, enriches her work. Aligned with the rigor of science and the depth of spirituality, she emerges as a distinctive voice in contemporary art.

CONCEPT

Wind emerges as a poetic meditation on the unseen forces that animate our world, encapsulated in the statement: ‘Reinforcing the connection with nature and highlighting the invisible energy that shapes our life.’ Comprising 21 large, polished aluminium flutes arranged in a spiral formation—the oldest symbol of wind, reflecting its dynamic movement through life—this work invites the local wind to serve as its sole musician, transforming natural breezes into a resonant symphony of distinct musical notes. Inspired by ancient Egyptian reverence for sound and frequency, as evidenced in the acoustic mysteries of the pyramids, Ana Ferrari integrates cymatics, meticulously studied in her atelier. Each flute’s unique note is precisely imprinted into its resonance chamber using laser technology, structuring the form and revealing intricate vibrational patterns etched into the chamber itself. Spanning 2.5 to 5 meters, the spiral composition playfully engages the spectator: as they interact with the work, they see themselves reflected in the polished aluminium, alongside the pyramids and desert. Rooted in her global exploration of cultural and natural energies, the work is the result of profound studies in cymatics, sacred geometry, ancestral symbolism, cosmic vibrations, and spiritual interconnections, blending art and science to invite viewers to experience the wind’s melodic interplay as a living testament to the profound rhythm between humanity and the cosmos, pure in its natural resonance.
