SUMMARY:FIGURELESS FIGURE
DESCRIPTION:SYNOPSIS \n \n \n \n The “Tale of Two Cities” exhibition\, is a symbolic bridge connecting the profound historical and cultural relationship between the two countries once more and highlighting Alexandria as a port city that enabled it to receive an influx of cultural influence. Both being cities that having direct access to the sea allowed for a flow of cultural exchanges that symbolises the profound impact of humanity and the ability to allow for continuous dialogue across seas and oceans harvesting new connections and conversations. As two pillars of civilisation that have withstood the tests of time\, Alexandria and Athens have borne witness to a timeless dialogue. Showing the significance of the ports being the first receivers of this cultural dialogue and the importance of its location and accessibility to whats beyond. Alexander the Great\, the founder of Alexandria\, created a strong intercultural connection between the countries\, creating a narrative where both cultures meet\, sharing customs\, traditions and substantial history. Alexander the Great’s influence on Egypt is still prevalent till today\, reiterating that the histories of both are interlinked in the manifestation of the city of Alexandria and its people. From uncovering the mythical connections that have been prominent throughout both cultures\, to tracing the development of philosophical musings\, the international artists will create artworks that respond to the artistic convergence that has evolved throughout history\, till the present day. Highlighting the deep-rooted historical bonds\, while celebrating the distinct identities and contributions of both nations\, that surpassed geographical limitations\, and linearity of time As two civilisations that have been custodians of knowledge\, with rich cultural legacies and spirits\, this exhibition invites visitors to explore the interplay of ideas\, art\, and knowledge through a contemporary lens. Art has always been an integral part of these civilisations. The exhibition aims to dissect and learn from the artistic alchemy that emerged then\, where aesthetics and symbolism played a major role in shaping the creative direction. Taking place in museums\, libraries\, and galleries\, each exhibition will tell the tale of this cultural exchange. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n ARTWORKS \n \n \n \n \n About 2 inches longTale of Two Cities 02Greek Epigram n.400Tale of Two Cities 02After PangeaTale of Two Cities 02HepatiaTale of Two Cities 02Artwork by Micha CattauiTale of Two Cities 028 BooksTale of Two Cities 02What Remains Of A LabyrinthTale of Two Cities 02History Of The CityTale of Two Cities 02 \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n SPONSORS & PARTNERS \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n PRESS \n \n \n\n \n \n\n \n \n\n \n No posts found. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n	Date & Time:	\n October 15\, 2024\n\n \n	\n - \n\n	November 4\, 2024\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n	\n \n\n	\n	Add to calendar	\n \n	\n\n \n \n \n	Google Calendar\n\n \n	iCalendar\n\n \n	Outlook 365\n\n \n	Outlook Live\n\n \n \n\n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Location: \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n	Alexandria Bibliotheca\n	\n	\n\nالأزاريطة والشاطبي، Bab Shar'\n	\n \n Alexandria\,\n\n\n\n	Egypt\n\n\n\n\n	+ Google Map \n\n\n	\n \n \n \n\n\n	\n \n\n\n\n	\n\n\n\n \n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n \n\n CAIRO INTERNATIONAL ART DISTRICT 04	\n\n\n \n	\n FOREVER IS NOW .04
