SYNOPSIS
Modern suburban landscaping has often stuck to conformity and repetitiveness in order to achieve harmony. Live Uncommon has completely moved away from that direction, jumping into a challenging quest to find harmony in difference. Instead of having a uniform infrastructure, we find ourselves in a space that marries various colors, designs, and themes, yet maintaining absolute congruity.
The activation by Art D’Égypte reflected this approach through pieces of art that find harmony in difference. The idea of the activation in and of itself is uncommon. Having designers, artists, photographers, and developers, collaborate on a project, is uncommon. Each piece was unpredictable, but the exhibition as a whole, how everything comes together, was also, atypical and exceptional.
The main idea was to marry completely different elements, different artists, and different genres under the same theme. They were different in essence but they came together harmoniously. The activation not only aligned with the ‘uncommon’ concept but it also enhanced it. It was the artistic representation of what it’s like to go back to one’s roots and create a space that is enriching and organically diverse, using space and nature to advantage. The activation was divided into 3 main spaces/categories: Installations and Functional Art, Photography, and Graffiti.
