Art D’Egypte hosts 40 children, both Egyptian and migrant, to raise awareness about the importance of preserving heritage in collaboration with UNESCO.
Nadine Abdel Ghaffar<\/strong>: We are working to raise children’s awareness of the importance of Egyptian cultural heritage and how to preserve it, as well as to develop their artistic abilities.

As part of its ongoing efforts to promote and support culture and heritage, Art D’Egypte, specialized in organizing artistic and cultural exhibitions and events, is hosting 40 children from different educational stages, including Egyptian and Sudanese migrant children, for a full day under the title “Our Heritage, Our Future” in the Giza Pyramids area. The aim is to convey and simplify art and culture for children through various artistic activities, while providing an opportunity for migrant children to integrate into society by learning about its history and heritage. This event will take place on June 30th in collaboration with the National Commission for UNESCO in Egypt, Datifa, which specializes in organizing cultural trips for children, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), as part of the community engagement program carried out by Art D’Egypte.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Nadine Abdel Ghaffar<\/strong>, founder of “Art D’Egypte” stated: “We always work thru various events to make culture and art accessible, bringing art to all segments of society of all ages, and increasing awareness of cultural values. These activities we offer in the Pyramids area, in collaboration with the National Commission for UNESCO in Egypt and Datifa, which specializes in organizing cultural trips, are part of Art D’Egypte’s community engagement program in the area that will host the ‘Forever is Now’ exhibition. The aim is to raise awareness of cultural and artistic values among Egyptian children and to introduce immigrant children to Egyptian heritage and art to integrate them into society thru various artistic activities that teach them the importance of Egyptian cultural heritage, how to preserve it, as well as developing their artistic abilities and creating sustainable communities.”<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Nadine Abdel Ghaffar<\/strong> added: “The artistic activities offered to children during the ‘Our Heritage is Our Future’ event vary throughout the day, including activities and games related to art, culture, stories, and tales with a heritage dimension. These activities address the importance of preserving Egyptian heritage and civilization and raising awareness about Egypt’s history and its ancient civilization over the generations. These events are a prelude to the ‘Eternity is Now’ exhibition, which will be held for the first time in front of the Giza Pyramids, this historical monument, next October. It is expected to be attended by artists from all over the world to witness the greatness of ancient Egyptian civilization and to serve as a message of hope and tribute to that civilization.”<\/p>

For her part, Dr. Ghada Abdel Bari<\/strong>, Secretary-General of the Egyptian National Commission for UNESCO, said: “We work to encourage and support all activities that strive to protect art and cultural heritage, and to simplify and convey it to the masses, especially children and youth, due to their future role in achieving sustainable development, as well as working to promote UNESCO’s values in line with the UNESCO World Heritage Education Program, which began as a special UNESCO project in 1994 with the aim of giving young people the opportunity to participate in protecting their cultural heritage as well as protecting and promoting world heritage.”<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The “Forever Is Now” exhibition is the fourth in the series of exhibitions by the Art D’Egypte Foundation, which is a leading platform that has changed the way the world views contemporary art in Egypt by merging and bridging the gap between old and new art. It is the first art exhibition in the history of the Giza Plateau, which spans 4,500 years, showcasing contemporary artists from around the world. It is scheduled to open on October 23, 2021, at the Giza Pyramids Plateau.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
