Art D\u2019E\u0301gypte was established by the French - Egyptian curator Nadine Abdel Ghaffar as a privately owned multidisciplinary firm that aimed to support Egyptian arts and cultural initiatives. Culturvator<\/strong> was born out of a need to extend the reach of Art D\u2019E\u0301gypte and bring all these initiatives together under one umbrella. It is a multi-disciplinary cultural platform that works with private and public entities to activate spaces for cultural promotion across all creative disciplines, spanning everything from visual arts and film to heritage, design, and music. The core of the Culturvator model is to foster and promote new collaborations across the global creative industry with the aim of building new connections and cultural experiences for a global audience.<\/p>

As a sub-brand of Culturvator, Art D\u2019E\u0301gypte continues to do what it does best:
– Develop strong local, regional, and international collaborations to enhance and promote the rich Egyptian art scene.
– Bridge the gap between Egyptian artists and the world.
– Support young artists and artists with scarce funds to get their work displayed and published.<\/p>

Art D\u2019E\u0301gypte also provides art consultancies to institutions, corporations, and private collectors as well as curatorial services for public spaces and private entities. Since 2019, Art D\u2019E\u0301gypte has extended its reach abroad, promoting Egyptian artists internationally at art fairs such as Abu Dhabi Art and ArtGene\u0300ve, holding exhibitions abroad, and launching several initiatives such as podcasts and lecture series to raise interest in Egyptian art at different levels and for varied audiences.<\/p>

By raising awareness, Art D\u2019E\u0301gypte\u2019s target is to help preserve Egypt\u2019s heritage and advance the international profile of modern and contemporary Egyptian art, presenting a different view of Egypt to the world. Every aspect of Art D\u2019E\u0301gypte\u2019s projects is designed with sustainability and community in mind. Free lectures and panels and community engagement programs have helped hundreds of young people from the neighbourhoods surrounding the historic sites acquire a sense of ownership and pride in the initiatives and in their sharedheritage, thus promoting site sustainability.<\/p>

Art D\u2019\u00c9gypte curates annual exhibitions that show contemporary art in a heritage site, linking Egypt’s rich past to our creative present. Art D\u2019\u00c9gypte’s first exhibition “Eternal Light” occupied the Egyptian Museum in 2017, and was followed by “Nothing Vanishes, Everything Transforms” taking over the Manial Palace in 2018. In 2019, “Reimagined Narratives”, the third annual exhibition, was on view at four historic locations along Al-Mu’izz Street and the UNESCO world-heritage site of Historic Cairo.
